DAF has reshaped expectations for long-haul truck cabins with its New Generation range, led by the DAF XG+. Taking full advantage of updated EU regulations, DAF designed an elongated cab that improves aerodynamics while delivering unrivaled interior space, setting a new benchmark for driver comfort and livability.

The lineup

DAF XF

The New Generation DAF XF now serves as the entry-level option for long-distance transport. While once DAF’s flagship, it has been repositioned to meet fleet and efficiency-focused needs:

• Slightly lower roof height

• Small engine tunnel

• Proven, practical layout

The XF remains a capable long-haul truck, but it offers noticeably less interior space compared to the newer XG and XG+ models.

DAF XG

The DAF XG introduces DAF’s extended cab concept:

• Longer rear wall for increased living space

• Wider sleeping area

• Improved room behind the seats

While the roof is slightly lower than the flagship, the XG already delivers a major upgrade in comfort over traditional European truck cabs.

DAF XG+

The DAF XG+ combines the extended cab length of the XG with a maximum-height roof. The XG+ cabin feels more like a small apartment than a truck interior.

Industry-Leading Interior Volume

With approximately 12.5 cubic meters of interior space, the DAF XG+ eliminates the cramped, boxy feeling common in older designs, offering unmatched freedom of movement.

Extra-wide bed without compromise

One of the standout features of the XG+ is its 800 mm-wide bed across the full length:

• No need to fold seats forward

• Bed always accessible

• More natural sleeping position

This makes the XG+ especially attractive for long-haul drivers who spend extended periods away from home.

Lounge-style interior design

When parked, the DAF XG+ transforms into a true living space:

• Swiveling captain’s seats

• Large open floor area between seats and dashboard

• Comfortable standing and movement inside the cab

DAF also focused heavily on visibility:

• Vision Door with a lower window in the passenger door
